Blonde Bombshell got out last week after hibernating for what seems like forever.

She shared with me the haps on the party scene at Lake Norman these days.

Stormy's is a new restaurant and bar off Exit 28 on West Catawba Avenue. Bombshell said it was far from stormy when she went recently. She describe it as tame.

F.O.E., which stands for Fraternal Order of the Eagle (also off Exit 28 on Bethel Church Road), draws the same crowd as City Tavern, but it's "club-ier," and not as nice.

Bombshell's biggest complaint was that the bar is understaffed. The night she went, there were only two bartenders and one of them kept waiting on his friends. Talk about bad customer service. She waited 30 minutes for a drink and finally decided to close her tab. (Party tip: If the bar's packed, pay for each order with cash.)

She headed to the Rudder next. It was packed and fun -- as usual.

The next night, Bombshell hung out at Midtown Sundries-Harborside, where a band called Blue Monday was playing. It was taping a performance for an upcoming episode of "The Sonic Lounge TV" on the CW network (WJZY). Midtown was also packed, and Bombshell said Blue Monday was unbelievable.

Speaking of Midtown Sundries, Bombshell was nearly teary-eyed when she found out that the location on N.C. 51 in south Charlotte closed down.
